About me
Michele Coffman is a thirty-four year veteran of the classroom. She began her career as a special education teacher at the middle school level in Stafford County. She then came to Spotsylvania High School where she has been for the last twenty-one years. For the last fifteen years, she has been in the general education classroom as an English teacher. Education has changed considerably during her tenure. The need for effective classroom management has never been greater. Her tool box has continued to grow and change over the years. She is part of UMW's Clinical Faculty mentoring new teachers in best practices. Her philosophy centers around building positive relationships with students while also holding them accountable for their choices.Ms. Coffman is a 1987 graduate of Spotsylvania High School and is the mother of three graduates from her alma mater. She enjoys spending time with her Corgi, Darcy, and traveling to North Carolina to see her two grandbabies.
