Laurie Gallup is deeply committed to the idea that the most effective way to improve teaching and learning is through a strengths-based approach. She believes that coaching is the most powerful way for individuals to learn, as it uncovers skills, builds emotionally resilient educators, and fosters trust and compassion within teams. In her current role as the Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning for Spotsylvania County Public Schools, Laurie focuses on creating intentional and supportive partnerships that drive growth across the division. Laurie is a visible and accessible leader who thrives on collaboration and building trust within teams. Whether she is supporting instructional liaisons, supervising instructional coaches, or supporting school leadership teams, her work is always anchored in the goal of providing a guaranteed and viable curriculum for every student. Laurie holds a Postgraduate Professional License with a certificate in Administration and Supervision. She is a certified Evocative Coach and has extensive training in Cognitive, Transformational, and Student-Centered coaching. Guided by her signature strengths of leadership, kindness, and gratitude, Laurie is a relentless pursuer of excellence. She is dedicated to fostering a culture where honoring the inherent talents of teachers and leaders allows everyone the opportunity to thrive.
