About me
Amy Bernard is an Instructional Innovation Specialist and High School English Liaison for Spotsylvania County Public Schools with more than 25 years of experience in education and instructional leadership. She supports secondary teachers through coaching focused on high-impact instructional practices, visible learning, and technology integration that strengthen student engagement and instructional clarity. Amy works closely with administrators and teachers to build sustainable coaching structures and scale innovative practices across schools through collaboration with fellow IIS colleagues. She also mentors educators through the University of Mary Washington and is passionate about empowering teachers through meaningful, consistent instructional support. Outside of coaching and curriculum, you’ll usually find her cheering on a favorite sports team at all levels or on a field hockey sideline trying to win championships.
